Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead design and modification of aircraft structures and systems. You will produce high‑quality solutions from concept to production, collaborating with stress and fatigue teams and using CATIA V5/3DExperience.

Requires a BS in Engineering and 13+ years of airframe design experience, plus strong communication and team leadership across complex programs.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) with emphasis on structural design and materials mechanics.
• 13+ years total design experience on airframe structures or system installation.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.
• Create or modify technical documents (Design Datasets, Product Structures) using SAP, CATIA, VPM, and related tools.
• Collaborate with internal/external departments to solve technical problems.
• Develop advanced ideas and guide their development into final products.
• Mentor less experienced designers and lead project teams to milestones.
• Set objectives with timelines and assign tasks for completion.
• Communicate effectively with management and customers at all levels.
