Job summary

Aviation Technology Associates, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Certification Engineer — Systems to support airworthiness certification for military commercial derivative aircraft. This role involves acting as a technical authority on certification strategies, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, and mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering and 15+ years of relevant experience. This position is remote with required monthly travel to Dayton, OH for 3-4 days.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in aircraft certification related to aircraft systems.
• Direct involvement in FAA type certification or STC programs.
• Experience with military commercial derivative aircraft programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME level understanding of aircraft systems including ECS and Fire Protection.
• Develop, review and execute certification plans for MCDA programs.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal certification processes.

Knowledge of Title 14 CFR

Program management experience

Effective communication skills

Education
