Job summary

Luminant in Irving, Texas is seeking an Air Permitting Senior Coordinator to lead development and management of air permits across facilities. You will oversee permitting strategy, regulatory review, consultant management, and budget oversight to support plant operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences/engineering and at least seven years of air permitting experience, with strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to drive on-time compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of air permitting experience or oversight of regulatory compliance programs.
• Experience leading air permitting projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing consultant scopes, budgets, schedules, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex environmental rules and agency correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee review and development of projects related to permits for compliance with environmental regulations.
• Manage air permits tracking, renewal, updates, and interpretation to support operations.
• Develop air permitting strategies and assess regulatory risk for facilities and projects.
• Oversee permit applications, amendments, and regulatory filings for construction and modification.
• Provide oversight and prioritization for team members and outside consultants.
• Manage consultant scopes, schedules, budgets, and invoice review.
• Prepare quarterly status reports summarizing projects, milestones, risks, and budgets.
