Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Irving, Texas is seeking an Air Permitting Senior Coordinator to lead the development, maintenance, and strategic management of air permits for electric power generation facilities.

The role requires oversight of permitting strategy, regulatory review, consultant management, budget oversight, and coordination across engineering, legal, and leadership teams to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective permitting while managing regulatory risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in air permitting work and/or oversight of environmental regulatory compliance programs.
• Demonstrated experience leading air permitting projects, managing regulatory deliverables, coordinating cross-functional teams or external consultants.
• Experience managing consultant scopes of work, project schedules, budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and performance expectations.
• Experience preparing and presenting project status updates, regulatory summaries, budget information, and recommendations to multiple levels of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee review and development of proposed projects to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Manage existing preconstruction and operating air permits; track, renew, update, and interpret permits for plant operations.
• Develop and direct air permitting strategies; evaluate pathways, risks, and business decisions.
• Oversee preparation, submittal, and agency support of air permit applications and related regulatory filings.
• Provide direction to environmental team members, plant personnel, and outside consultants; prioritize permitting efforts.
