Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking a Sr. Air Compliance Specialist to lead air permitting efforts for new projects and ongoing operations.

You will act as a first-line resource for the Air Compliance Specialist and collaborate with engineering, operations, and management teams to ensure compliance with the Clean Air Act and state regulations. The role requires eight years of air permitting experience in oil & gas, a PE license, and strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Eight years of air permitting and compliance experience in oil & gas.
• Knowledge of the Clean Air Act and state regulations where Tallgrass assets operate.
• Experience interacting with Federal, State and local agency officials related to air permitting authorizations.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Work with permitting professionals to provide system-wide support for compliance.
• Plan, organize, budget and manage timely execution of air permits and related requirements.
• Complete emission calculations and inventories.
• Conduct regulatory applicability analyses for State and Federal rules.
• Interact with regulatory agencies, consultants and operations personnel.
• Provide technical support to operations to ensure compliance with air regulations.
• Maintain and communicate Tallgrass EHS policies and procedures.
