Job summary

Tallgrass seeks an Emissions Compliance Specialist to perform emissions testing, analysis, documentation, and reporting for Tallgrass equipment in line with state and federal regulations and air permits. You will collaborate with Field Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and third-party vendors to ensure compliant operation.

The role requires a two-year degree or equivalent experience, strong mechanical and analytical abilities, MS Office proficiency, and emissions testing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Applied Science or engineering-related field, or two years of related work experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
• Experience with engines, compressors, pumps, and related equipment; emissions testing knowledge.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record.
• Strong mechanical, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform emissions testing and monitoring to support engine/turbine testing programs.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain emissions testing equipment.
• Document emissions levels and ensure timely testing to meet permit deadlines.
• Coordinate test dates with Field Operations and Air Compliance.
• Prepare emissions reporting and regulatory-compliant records.
• Interpret permit requirements and maintain knowledge of testing protocols.
