Job summary

Terracon is seeking an experienced Environmental Regulatory Compliance Engineer or Scientist to join our team in West Texas. This role leads local and regional compliance efforts, expanding the air permitting practice and serving as a local contact for regulatory compliance initiatives across a national footprint.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Texas air permitting—Title V, Permits by Rule, NSR, and related analyses—along with strong leadership and technical writing skills to mentor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering (preferred) or environmental-related discipline.
• PhD in Environmental Engineering preferred.
• Demonstrated high level of technical writing ability.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead local and regional compliance efforts and assist with projects across the country.
• Grow the air permitting practice and serve as a local point of contact for regulatory compliance.
• Review deliverables for quality following company standards; mentor field staff and project professionals.
• Develop relationships with clients and participate in proposals and marketing strategies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Chemical Engineering

PhD in Environmental Engineering (preferred)
