Job summary

Early Warning Services, LLC is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - AIOps to design, build, and operate the agent platform enabling AI agents to observe events, diagnose, and execute actions with safety controls. This senior role requires deep Python production experience, distributed systems expertise, and collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Security, and Risk teams.

The base pay scale for SF/NYC/PHX areas ranges from $149,000 to $198,000 per year, with discretionary incentive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Eight or more years of related software engineering, platform engineering, or distributed systems experience.
• Ability to design maintainable, testable solutions with robust interfaces and fault tolerance.
• Strong production development experience with Python and agent runtimes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate the core agent runtime for AIOps.
• Define and maintain typed tool interfaces for CI/CD, infrastructure, Kubernetes, and ITSM.
• Implement production controls for agent actions with safety, approvals, and rollback features.
• Build event routing and telemetry capabilities with logs, metrics, and traces.
• Collaborate with Security, Risk, and Compliance to meet regulatory and reliability requirements.
