Job summary

Early Warning Services LLC is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the AIOps agent platform in a hybrid setting across Phoenix-area locations. You will design, build, and run the agent runtime, enabling AI agents to observe events, diagnose issues, and take safe, approved actions in production.

You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Security, and Risk to ensure reliability, controllability, and auditability while advancing telemetry, tool interfaces, and cost-latency controls.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of software engineering and platform experience.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, control loops, and reliability.
• Experience with Python backend/API development and automation.
• Ability to design tool interfaces for AI agents and production-grade runtimes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate the core agent runtime and event ingestion pipeline.
• Define and maintain scoped, typed tool interfaces for CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and observability.
• Implement controls for actions, safety, audits, and reversibility in agent workflows.
• Collaborate with Security, Risk, Compliance, and other teams to meet regulatory requirements.
