Job summary

Wonderlic is seeking a Senior Research Scientist at the intersection of I-O psychology and machine learning. The role focuses on owning and expanding the jobs engine, using data from labor markets to produce scalable job analyses for thousands of roles.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and psychology teams to ensure defensible, AI-driven hiring insights. You will apply rigorous I-O psychology principles to model outputs, norm groups, and cognitive content while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in I-O Psychology or closely related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of applied industry experience; 5+ preferred.
• Demonstrated ML engineering experience with production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and expansion of the Jobs Engine for large-scale job analysis.
• Serve as a cross-functional AI implementation expert across product, engineering, and I-O psychology teams.
• Apply I-O principles to ensure defensibility, fairness, and legal compliance of AI tools.
• Set scientific direction and roadmaps for AI-driven job analysis at scale.
