Job summary

Wonderlic is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to sit at the precise intersection of I-O psychology and machine learning—owning the jobs engine and shaping AI-driven insights at scale.

You will lead the development, integration, and evaluation of predictive job analysis across thousands of roles, partnering with product, data science, and psychology teams to deliver defensible, impactful results.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in I-O Psychology or related field.
• Demonstrated ML engineering experience with shipped systems.
• Experience applying NLP to behavioral or labor market data.
• Track record of technically sound and legally defensible work.
• Minimum 3 years of applied industry experience; 5+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and expansion of Wonderlic's AI job analysis system.
• Ingest labor market data from sources like O*NET, LinkedIn, Indeed.
• Build and refine models that infer work content from unstructured text.
• Ensure outputs are scientifically defensible and scalable as work evolves.
• Advise on AI implementation across product teams and departments.
• Drive rigorous evaluation, fairness, and compliance in tools.
