Job summary

Wonderlic seeks a Senior Research Scientist at the intersection of I-O psychology and machine learning. You will own the jobs engine architecture, ingest labor market data from sources like O*NET and LinkedIn, and drive defensible, scalable inferences about jobs and people at scale.

You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and psychologists to translate scientific requirements into AI-powered systems, ensuring typical standards and external credibility are maintained across

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in I-O Psychology or closely related field with quantitative focus preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of applied industry experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience at the intersection of I-O science and algorithmic fairness is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead continued development of Wonderlic’s Jobs Engine, ingests labor market data and builds models for thousands of jobs.
• Advise on AI approaches for assessment interpretation, manager reporting, and coaching content.
• Apply I-O psychology principles to ensure defensibility and ethical standards.
• Deliver measurable improvements in coverage, accuracy, or defensibility within six months.
