Job summary

Proclinical is partnering with a growing pharmaceutical organization to hire a Senior AI & Transformation Engineer in the NJ/ NYC area. This role blends hands-on AI engineering with strategy, business transformation and stakeholder leadership.

You will identify high-value AI use cases, lead GenAI initiatives from concept to production, define technical architecture and enable non-technical teams to use AI tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience across software engineering, AI development or technology consulting.
• 3+ years building GenAI / LLM-based solutions.
• Strong hands-on Python skills.
• Experience with RAG, prompt engineering, agentic AI and multi-agent systems.
• Proven experience deploying AI solutions into production environments.
• Experience leading complex technical projects and working with senior business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of software engineering practices including version control, CI/CD, testing and containerization.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience within consulting, regulated industries, AI enablement/training, MLOps or enterprise infrastructure would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI initiatives across multiple business functions, from intake and scoping through implementation and adoption.
• Design and deliver GenAI solutions including LLM applications, RAG pipelines, agentic AI systems and multi-agent workflows.
• Partner with business leaders, IT and technical teams to identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases.
• Define technical architecture and guide solutions through to production.
• Enable non-technical teams to effectively use conversational AI, custom assistants and low/no-code AI tools.
• Review AI solutions for quality, scalability and production readiness.
• Help drive broader AI adoption and transformation across the organization.
