Job summary

Axon is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager II, AI to lead cross-functional AI programs across research, engineering, product management, and hardware ecosystems. You will own initiatives from concept through model development, cloud/edge deployment, to post-launch optimization.

You will drive high-visibility projects like Generative AI workflows, Video Search & Automated Redaction, and On-Device Edge Vision.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related highly technical field.
• Core TPM Experience: 7+ years in a software org building large-scale distributed systems as TPM/Lead/Manager.
• Machine Learning Track Record: 5+ years managing ML programs from concept to production.
• Cloud & Platform Mastery: Expertise with ML platforms and deployment on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Technical Communication: Ability to author clear technical specs and architecture docs.
• Ambiguity & Execution: Translate ambiguous requirements into structured delivery plans.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Program Ownership: orchestrate AI initiatives from design to deployment and post-launch evaluation.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: partner with AI Scientists, ML Engineers, PMs, and Executives to define roadmaps.
• Scale Edge & Cloud Systems: coordinate dependencies between AI research, cloud microservices, and IoT/Edge devices.
• Delivery & Executive Governance: define success metrics, WBS, roadmaps, and executive reporting.
• Data Lifecycle Oversight: manage data strategies, datasets, annotation pipelines, and vendor management.
• Enablement & Mentorship: raise AI literacy and mentor junior TPMs across the org.
