Job summary

AlertMedia is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to accelerate an AI-first development model. This hands-on role focuses on designing and extending AI agents and development tooling, building reliable CI and local environments, and collaborating across teams to boost engineering productivity.

You will work with Docker, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Python in a backend‑leaning role, while staying ahead of AI capabilities and driving practical improvements in code, tests, and workflows.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Experience extending AI tooling—agents, prompts, MCP servers, etc.
• Strong backend fundamentals and ability to contribute across the stack.
• Experience building systems other engineers rely on.
• Familiar with automated testing and performance issues.
• English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Stay current on AI tooling and implement changes that boost productivity.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to shape AI-assisted workflows.
• Design and build AI agents and skills used in the development process.
• Improve local development environments and CI workflows.
• Reduce friction in testing and local development.
• Build internal tools to streamline daily development.
