Citizens seeks a Distinguished Engineer, AI Tooling & Security to lead design, engineering, and security of AI platforms across the enterprise. You will drive secure AI adoption, define standards, and mentor engineers to advance capabilities at scale.

You will collaborate with architecture, security, data, and business teams to shape AI governance, safeguard data, and accelerate responsible innovation aligned with business goals.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of software, platform, security, or data engineering experience.
• Proven leadership across large-scale initiatives and influencing technical direction.
• Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI architectures.
• Experience developing secure, cloud based applications and services.
• Strong programming experience in Python and proficiency in another modern language.
• Experience working with large scale data platforms and analytical workloads.
• Hands on experience with AWS cloud technologies and securing sensitive workloads.
• Strong Linux and scripting experience, including Bash.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions).
• Deep understanding of application security, cloud security, IAM, API security, and secure SDLC practices.
• Knowledge of AI security principles, model governance, threat modeling, and secure deployment patterns.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers while driving technical excellence.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative software solutions, platforms, and tools for enterprise AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to define scalable, secure, and maintainable tech solutions.
• Build modern, cloud-native applications and reusable components to accelerate business outcomes.
• Incorporate scalability, reliability, performance, observability, and maintainability into distributed systems.
• Champion engineering excellence through code quality, automation, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor senior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Build and operationalize security controls that protect AI applications, models, agents, prompts, and outputs.
• Secure the full AI/ML lifecycle from data ingestion to deployment and runtime operations.
• Design safeguards against AI threats like prompt injection and data exposure.
• Strengthen IAM controls for AI systems and secure integrations with enterprise apps and APIs.
• Implement encryption, data masking, and privacy-preserving controls for AI data.
• Develop monitoring, logging, detection, and alerting for anomalous AI behaviors and policy violations.
• Harden cloud platforms, containers, and orchestration environments.
• Lead security investigations and collaborate on governance and compliance with stakeholders.
