Job summary

CDW is seeking a Principal AI Security Engineer to lead the security strategy for enterprise AI. You will own how CDW evaluates AI risk before production and design controls that enable safe, scalable AI use across the organization.

This hands-on role requires deep technical expertise in AI security, risk assessments, and deployment of guardrails, with collaboration across security, platform, and engineering teams to accelerate secure AI adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 10+ years in security engineering or security architecture, including hands-on work securing AI/ML systems, or 14+ years of experience in security engineering or security architecture.
• Proven experience designing and leading security assessments of AI systems, platforms, or vendors, turning findings into clear, risk-based decisions.
• Hands-on experience securing production AI technologies, including AI guardrails, sandboxes, and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own CDW's AI security assessment program and mature the process, criteria, and risk tiers.
• Lead security assessments of AI systems, agents, and integrations before and after deployment.
• Design end-to-end security for the AI stack and build guardrails, runtime controls, and AI gateway capabilities.
