Job summary

AI Fund in Mountain View, CA, is seeking an Engineer in Residence recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for EIRs and internal Build team roles. You will redesign recruiting workflows, apply AI tools day-to-day, and partner with founders to recruit top technical talent capable of starting new companies.

The role requires proven success in closing hard-to-hire engineers and researchers, plus deep understanding of how modern AI teams operate, with a high-volume, high-stakes process.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting, including senior engineers or research-caliber talent.
• Record of closing hard-to-hire technical candidates.
• Fluency in how modern AI teams work and credible screen with either.
• Daily, hands-on use of AI tools in recruiting; strong writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Run full-cycle EIR searches across all of our active ideas.
• Close, walk candidates through residency, compensation, and path to founding a company.
• Own hiring for AI Fund's internal team, starting with engineers on our Build team.
• Recruit builders on evidence of hands-on work: shipped products and GenAI experience.
• Use AI across sourcing, research, outreach, and screening; help build custom tools.
• Keep the process moving and ensure candidates progress through events and decisions.
• Report pipeline health weekly with real numbers and fix slow points.
