Job summary

Kiwi Financial Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to build and improve AI systems across Kiwi’s products and operations, including LLM-powered chat, voice experiences, and task-driven agents.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Operations, and Engineering to turn problems into scalable software, design reliable APIs, and ensure accuracy, latency, and cost targets are met in production.

Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping LLM-powered applications with tool calls and agent workflows.
• Proven ability to evaluate and improve LLM systems using metrics and feedback.
• Strong backend engineering skills with production-grade APIs and services.
• Experience designing for reliability and observability in asynchronous workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate LLM-powered features including conversational agents, voice experiences, and workflow automations.
• Design how agents use tools, retrieve information, maintain context, and hand off to humans or systems.
• Integrate AI capabilities with Kiwi's backend services, APIs, and internal tools.
• Improve AI behavior quality through evaluations, tracing, and production feedback.
• Address issues like incorrect responses, tool-call failures, latency, and cost in production.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
