Job summary

Capital One is seeking an AI Engineer 4 to join the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team in San Jose, CA. You will contribute to AI systems that power real-time banking experiences, partnering with engineers, researchers, and product managers to build scalable AI solutions.

You will design and optimize foundation models, manage end-to-end architectures, and help ensure ethical alignment and system observability as part of a responsible AI strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field with AI/ML experience.
• 4+ years of experience developing AI/ML algorithms or technologies.
• Strong programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, CUDA or Java.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Lead reviews for new AI system deployments ensuring governance and security.
