Job summary

my529, a nonprofit state education savings program, seeks a Sr. Manager, AI Management to lead AI strategy across the organization from governance to implementation. You will partner with departments to embed AI into operations, develop training, and explainability practices.

You will advise on regulatory, security, and data privacy considerations, manage vendor relations, and guide pilot projects and multi-year roadmaps for AI-enabled capabilities in a risk-aware, compliant manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalency) + 8 years; or Master's degree (or equivalency) + 6 years.
• Experience with AI governance, risk, regulatory compliance.
• Hybrid work arrangement in Salt Lake City with downtown location.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer AI Governance framework, policies, standards, and controls.
• Advise on regulatory conformity and data privacy considerations.
• Evaluate AI capabilities within existing platforms and coordinate with IT, Security, Legal.
• Establish guardrails, explainability, and human oversight.
• Support audits and document responsible AI use.
• Drive KPIs, staff engagement, fraud reduction, and new product launches.
• Engage with vendors, regulators, industry groups, fintech orgs.
• Oversee ML models for risk, analytics, and automation.
