Job summary

OJ Digital is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in the United States. This remote role involves frequent travel to customer sites, owning the design, development and deployment of AI solutions for enterprise customers.

You will build production LLM workflows, RAG pipelines and agentic systems, and develop backend services and integrations across customer data sources. You will work directly with customers and engagement managers to translate operational needs into technical solutions, process

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of software, full-stack, applied AI or forward-deployed engineering experience.
• Proven production AI systems with measurable value.
• Strong backend, APIs and cloud skills.
• Experience with client-facing delivery and deployments.
• Experience with LLM workflows, RAG or agents; quality improvement.
• Based in the US and able to travel; near a major airport; Chicago welcome.
• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, development and deployment of AI solutions within customer environments.
• Build production LLM workflows, RAG pipelines and agentic systems.
• Develop backend services, APIs and integrations across customer data sources.
• Process and clean unstructured data to improve AI outputs.
• Build evaluations to assess accuracy, reduce hallucinations and maintain reliability as usage scales.
• Work directly with customers and engagement managers to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Feed reusable components and lessons from customer deployments back into the shared platform.
• Travel to customer sites to support discovery, implementation and delivery.
