H2O.ai is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer - AI in Washington DC to combine deep ML and GenAI expertise with strong pre‑sales skills. You will work with Sales, Product, and customers to design architectures, run demos, and guide end‑to‑end AI journeys.

This role emphasizes discovery, ROI proofs, and multi‑domain AI solutions with on‑prem and cloud deployments, while traveling up to 50% to support key accounts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pre‑sales, sales engineering, or solution architecture roles for enterprise AI/ML platforms.
• Hands‑on expertise in Generative AI and ML: LLM fine‑tuning, evaluation, pipelines.
• Proven experience with cloud‑native deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes.
• Master the art of technical storytelling and presenting to IT Directors and CROs.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with C‑level executives.
• Experience with H2O.ai products or similar enterprise AI/ML platforms is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to support strategic accounts.
• Security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to drive pre‑sales success: lead discovery sessions, identify customer needs, design technical solutions, and build winning proposals.
• Execute high‑impact proof of value demonstrating ROI and measurable gains in production.
• Build and present custom AI/ML/GenAI solutions for industry verticals.
• Showcase hands‑on expertise with LLMs: fine‑tuning, evaluations, RAG, and Agentic pipelines.
• Design and build Agentic Workflows and multi‑agent systems that reason and execute complex logic autonomously.
• Design reference architectures for cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Architect integrated solutions leveraging the full H2O stack and MLOps, Kubernetes deployments, and governance.
