Job summary

Amentum is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to lead JANUS and the COE portfolio, bridging business demand with technical AI architectures. You will coordinate with governance, legal and procurement liaisons to ensure lighthouse programs stay on schedule and deliver value.

The role requires US citizenship and a hybrid work model with the Reston, VA office as a focal point, interfacing with CTO Office, spokes, and vendor engineers to drive reusable patterns across platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AI/data program architecture or enterprise solution delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Data Science/Information Systems or related field; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operation of JANUS for COE intake, triage, prioritization, and lifecycle tracking of AI use cases.
• Translate business problems into technical AI solution architectures and reusable patterns across AI Pilots.
• Support integration, deployment, and hand-off of GenAI capabilities into missions.
• Coordinate lighthouse charter execution and surface blockers to leadership.
• Maintain COE decision log and Council package readiness monthly.
• Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers during platform buildout and transitions.
• Maintain alignment between two-cloud posture (Azure Commercial for COE, Azure Gov for customer programs).
