Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect with deep AI expertise to lead architecture, strategy, and adoption of AI-powered solutions across enterprise platforms. You will define future-state architectures and guide decision-making to deliver scalable, secure, and responsible AI capabilities that drive measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Technology Strategy.
• Experience in leading large-scale AI, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or Intelligent Automation initiatives.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI architectures.
• Machine Learning lifecycle management and AI governance/best practices.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale distributed systems and API-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Create the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions and prioritize requirements into a technology backlog.
• Contribute to the architecture roadmap of defined domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology).
• Clarify architecture and assist with system design, providing options to resolve impediments.
• Lead design of complex architectures and drive flexible, modular solutions.
• Educate teams on technology practices, standardization, and best practices.
• Support the team in selecting technology stacks and products.
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure non-functional requirements like security, performance and reliability are met.
• Define and communicate enterprise AI architecture vision, roadmaps, and target-state capabilities.
• Collaborate with business, product, engineering, data, risk, and security to translate objectives into scalable solutions.
• Lead architecture for AI initiatives including GenAI, agentic workflows, copilots, and predictive analytics.
• Develop solution designs, blueprints, and reference patterns for reuse across the enterprise.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms, models, and vendors and provide architecture recommendations.
• Drive architecture governance and alignment with enterprise standards.
