Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced senior AI architecture leader to define enterprise patterns, standards, and governance for AI adoption across Global Technology. You will guide AI platforms, agentic systems, retrieval architectures, and integration with data, apps, and business processes.

The role drives scalable, governed AI solutions, partnering with CIO teams, security, and risk to maximize business value while managing risk and complexity.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, software engineering, or distributed systems design.
• 8+ years architecting AI/ML, NLP, or advanced analytics solutions.
• 2+ years designing enterprise GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI solutions.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML concepts including LLMs, RAG, embeddings and vector databases.
• Experience with AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI.

Responsibilities

• Works across the business, operations and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions and prioritize requirements into a technology backlog.
• Contributes to the architecture roadmap of defined domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology) and establishes best practices.
• Clarifies architecture, assists with system design, and provides solution options to resolve impediments.
• Leads design of complex architectures and fosters flexible, modular, adaptable solutions.
• Educates teams on technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices.
• Supports the team to select technology stacks and preferred products.
• Performs design and code reviews to ensure non-functional requirements are met (security, performance, scalability, etc.).
• Define enterprise AI architecture strategy, standards, governance models, and decision frameworks.
• Establish reusable patterns, reference architectures, templates, and guardrails for responsible AI adoption.
• Design and govern enterprise AI agents, multi-agent systems, orchestration models, and workflow automation.
• Guide AI platform decisions across Copilot Studio, Azure AI, Orchestra, and emerging capabilities.
• Define patterns for RAG, vector databases, semantic retrieval, and enterprise knowledge architectures.
• Establish standards for model integration, evaluation, observability, lifecycle, explainability, and trustworthiness.
• Define integration architectures across APIs, events, and agent-to-agent communication.
• Embed security, risk, compliance, identity, access management, data protection, and policy enforcement.
• Evaluate trade-offs across scalability, resilience, governance, security, and business value.
• Lead enterprise AI adoption through stakeholder engagement and long-term strategy development.
