Job summary

Expression seeks a Senior AI Software Engineer and Technical Lead to architect and build an edge-native intelligent processing platform. You will own distributed processing, SDR integration, and secure, resilient software across edge devices and cloud environments.

You will mentor engineers, shape software standards, and collaborate with AI teams to productionize ML inference while advancing system architecture and implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience designing distributed systems.
• Strong Python experience with asyncio, FastAPI, and modern dev practices.
• Experience leading complex software development efforts as a technical lead.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of an edge-native intelligent processing platform.
• Design scalable architectures for heterogeneous edge devices and SDR ecosystems.
• Develop backend services using Python, FastAPI, asyncio, and distributed techniques.
• Integrate SDR platforms into software pipelines for real‑time data processing.
• Build resilient distributed processing across degraded or intermittent networks.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to productionize ML inference capabilities.
• Produce documentation, architecture artifacts, and interface specs.
• Mentor junior engineers while maintaining hands‑on development responsibilities.
