Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join the Security Products team, focusing on next‑generation AI SOC capabilities. You will architect autonomous reasoning, multi‑agent investigation, and intelligent response orchestration for post‑detection workflows in a fully remote role.

The role requires 12+ years building scale production software and deep experience with AI systems, LLM orchestration, and security contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience (Master's preferred).
• 12+ years of experience building scale production software.
• Experience leading engineering initiatives and building AI SOC, SOAR, or post‑detection automation capabilities at scale.
• Hands-on experience with AI systems, LLM orchestration, vector databases/embeddings, tool calling, and RAG architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect post‑detection workflows including autonomous triage, agentic investigation, evidence synthesis, and containment orchestration.
• Build production‑grade reasoning systems using LLMs, embeddings, and context graphs to form hypotheses and deliver explainable verdicts.
• Collaborate with Cribl Detect to ingest detection signals and trigger investigations and responses.
• Explore agentic paradigms and multi‑agent frameworks through prototypes.
• Write core abstractions, design agent communication protocols, review code, and set benchmarks for accuracy and latency.
• Build safe execution frameworks with transparent reasoning trails and human‑in‑the‑loop controls.
• Partner with product managers and security researchers to translate ideas into executable plans.
• Represent Cribl's AI SOC vision through architecture reviews and blogs.
• Stand‑by, on‑call, or off‑hours duties will be required.
