Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Sr. Service Designer in the AI & Product Office. You will map current care delivery, design future-state services, and partner with product, design and engineering to shape AI-enabled care solutions.

You’ll measure outcomes and hand off to deployment, writing up decisions for scalable adoption. The role emphasizes collaboration across markets, hands-on service design, and building an enterprise-ready operation that integrates AI safely and

Qualifikationen

7+ years of experience in operations, process improvement, or service design with at least 3 years within the healthcare industry.

Aufgaben

Embed with local teams to shadow and map how care is delivered today, end to end, across primary care and community care
Design the service blueprint around each product: roles, workflows, scripts, handoffs, staffing, and policies
Define operational measures and baselines before launch to measure impact
Write observations weekly to inform decisions and future markets
Partner with product, design, and engineering to align product and operation
Raise market AI fluency and ensure safe usage of AI tools
