Job summary

Koniag Government Services is seeking an AI Security Specialist / SME to support SBA AI security initiatives in Washington, DC. The role requires deep expertise in AI/ML security, risk management, and governance to ensure secure, compliant deployment of AI systems within a federal government context.

The candidate will lead policy development, risk assessments, and collaboration with data science, IT security, legal, and program teams; driving secure AI adoption and adherence to federal AI

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience with AI/ML security
• Expert-level knowledge of AI/ML security principles and threat vectors
• Familiarity with federal AI governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, EO, OMB guidance)
• CISSP/CISM or equivalent senior cybersecurity certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as SBA's senior SME and technical lead for AI security.
• Develop and maintain SBA's AI security program and governance artifacts.
• Lead AI security risk assessments for SBA AI systems and initiatives.
• Collaborate with data science, AI development, and application teams to integrate AI security into development workflows.
• Monitor AI threat landscape and provide timely threat assessments to SBA leadership.
