Koniag Government Services is seeking an AI Security Engineer (Mid) to join a federal cybersecurity program in Washington, DC, with approved remote work options. The role focuses on designing, developing, and integrating AI/ML capabilities to strengthen threat detection, incident response, and compliance monitoring across enterprise systems.

The candidate will implement AI-driven SIEM enhancements, automate workflows, and ensure governance per NIST and agency policies, reporting to the AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years in IT or cybersecurity with hands-on AI security engineering experience.
• Experience integrating AI/ML into enterprise security tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain AI-powered cybersecurity capabilities across the enterprise.
• Develop and deploy ML models for anomaly detection and predictive threat analytics.
• Enhance AI-driven SIEM capabilities (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel) with ML-based detection rules.
• Automate security workflows and AI-driven compliance monitoring (NIST FISMA, etc.).
• Document model development, data sources, and deployment configurations.
