Job summary

RIVA Solutions is seeking a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in AI governance, data security policy, and regulatory compliance to guide agency AI adoption and establish defensible governance across data, development, serving, and control planes.

The role requires translating federal guidance into enforceable policies, designing evidence chains, and coordinating with senior stakeholders to ensure risk-aware AI deployments in a federal context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, AI policy, or a related field.
• Recognized expertise in federal AI governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, OMB M-25-21, CISA agentic AI guidance).
• Deep familiarity with NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP for AI serving infra and API brokering platforms.
• Experience advising senior government officials on AI adoption risk, data security policy, and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Shape and maintain the AI governance framework for the USPTO using NIST AI RMF and govern AI adoption across platforms.
• Translate OMB M-25-21, CISA 26-04 guidance into actionable use-case playbooks, policies, and enforcement configurations.
• Define and maintain the policy-based enforcement matrix for AI platforms and UGAP broker.
