Job summary

Ridgeline, Inc. seeks a Senior Security Engineer to shape secure AI platforms, guardrails, and threat models across the business.

You will own security design for AI features, embed secure practices in engineering, and lead reviews to prevent risk in a hybrid role based in the San Ramon/ Reno area. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure secure adoption of AI while maintaining performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in application security, cloud security, or security-focused software engineering.
• Depth in secure code review, cloud/infrastructure security, or security-focused software.
• Proficiency in at least one high-level language (Python preferred; Kotlin/TypeScript a plus).
• Experience securing or building AI/LLM-powered systems and ability to validate AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI security platforms, guardrails, and reusable frameworks.
• Assess AI-powered features for security impact and lead security reviews.
• Develop least-privilege patterns and trust boundaries for AI-enabled systems.
• Own guardrails for internal AI developer tooling and enforce secure AI use standards.
• Threat model AI features and define security requirements with engineering teams.
• Drive remediation of AI-related findings and improve incident response.
