Job summary

Ridgeline is seeking a Staff AI Security Engineer to design secure-by-default AI platforms and lead AI/LLM threat security for the business. You will architect platforms, guardrails, and reusable frameworks that enable safe AI adoption, and partner with teams to embed security into how AI is built and used.

You will own security reviews, threat modeling, and guardrails for internal AI tooling, ensuring secure paths are easy for engineers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in application security, cloud security, or security-focused software engineering.
• Depth in secure code review and product security; cloud and infrastructure security (AWS, IAM, guardrails); or building production software with a strong security focus.
• Proficiency in at least one high-level language (Python preferred; Kotlin or TypeScript a plus).
• Hands-on, daily use of AI/LLM tooling, and the judgment to validate its output for correctness and risk.

Responsibilities

• Design and build platforms, guardrails, and reusable frameworks for secure AI adoption.
• Lead AI/LLM threat security reviews and define security requirements before features are built.
• Own guardrails for internal AI developer tooling and MCP security, expanding coverage as usage evolves.
• Partner with engineering to embed security into AI product development and usage patterns.
