Ridgeline is seeking a Staff AI Security Engineer to lead secure AI platform initiatives in a fast-growing, cloud-native environment. You will architect secure-by-default AI platforms, enforce security standards, and partner with engineering to embed security into AI features.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in application security, cloud security, or security-focused software engineering.
• Depth in at least one area: secure code review, cloud/infrastructure security, or security-focused production software.
• Proficiency in a high-level language (Python preferred; Kotlin or TypeScript a plus).
• Hands-on AI/LLM tooling experience and the ability to validate outputs for correctness and risk.
• Experience securing or building AI/LLM-powered systems or quickly learning new domains.
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain security tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build secure AI platforms and guardrails for end-to-end AI adoption.
• Assess security impact of AI features and lead security reviews.
• Define least-privilege patterns and trust boundaries for AI systems.
• Develop AI developer tooling guardrails (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor).
• Threat model AI features and define security requirements with engineering.
• Own triage for AI-related findings and ensure SLA compliance.
• Build AI-augmented security tooling and pipelines with production-quality code.
• Partner with engineering as the primary AI Security liaison.
