Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior AI security leader to embed security across AI lifecycles in the Challenger program. You will work with product and engineering teams to design practical controls, run adversarial tests, and develop reusable patterns for safe AI deployments.

Candidates bring 5+ years in security for product/cloud environments, strong threat modeling, hands-on automation, and the ability to communicate risk clearly across engineering and business teams. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in product, application, cloud, platform, or detection security with ownership of production controls.
• Threat modeling: assess complex systems and translate attack paths into engineering measures.
• Production security across modern applications, cloud environments, identities, data, networks, and pipelines.
• AI systems knowledge: generative and agentic AI, including retrieval, model access, tool use, runtime behavior.
• Hands-on automation: building or extending security tests, telemetry, reference implementations, or adversarial assessments.
• Response experience: supporting vulnerability or incident response and translating lessons into stronger technical controls.
• Cross-functional delivery: partnering with engineers and risk functions.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid office requirement.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction with reusable AI security patterns, control objectives, reference architectures, and threat models.
• Join builders early to identify attack paths and shape controls that fit the product and delivery model.
• Design practical patterns for identity, access, isolation, approvals, and recovery.
• Embed security across the data lifecycle, preserving confidentiality, integrity, provenance, use, and access.
• Integrate automated security tests, policy gates, trusted artifacts, traceable changes, and safe rollback into engineering workflows.
• Run focused red-team exercises against AI-specific abuse cases and convert findings into repeatable tests and guidance.
• Use end-to-end signals to detect abnormal actions, privilege misuse, exfiltration attempts, and degraded controls.
• Support vulnerability triage and incidents with evidence, containment options, recovery actions, and lessons learned.
• Provide concise technical recommendations to product and risk leaders, with accountable owners.
• Create reference implementations and coach engineers to make the safer path easier to adopt.
