Job summary

EY is seeking a security-focused Challenger professional in the US to embed security across AI lifecycle and guide product teams toward safe, scalable AI adoption. You will collaborate with product and engineering to identify attack paths, design practical controls, and deploy reusable patterns that reduce risk while enabling ambitious AI use cases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in product, application, cloud, platform, or detection security with production controls.
• Threat modeling: ability to assess complex systems and translate attack paths into practical engineering measures.
• Production security across cloud, identities, data, networks, and pipelines.
• AI systems knowledge: generative and agentic AI including retrieval, model access, tool use, evaluation, and runtime behavior.
• Hands-on automation: building or extending security tests, controls, telemetry, reference implementations, or adversarial assessments.
• Cross-functional delivery: partnering with engineers and risk functions to improve security while maintaining user value.
• Travel and On-site: up to 50% travel with hybrid office flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction: Own reusable AI security patterns, control objectives, reference architectures, and threat models.
• Join builders early: Work with teams before key design choices are fixed, identifying credible attack paths and shaping controls.
• Design scoped authority: Create practical patterns for identity, access, isolation, approvals, and recovery.
• Protect sensitive information: Embed security across the data lifecycle, preserving confidentiality, integrity, provenance, permitted use, and monitored access.
• Secure the delivery path: Integrate automated security tests, policy gates, trusted artifacts, and safe rollback.
• Test adversarially: Run red-team exercises and translate findings into repeatable tests and stronger patterns.
• Build runtime protection: Use evidence and signals to detect abnormal actions and privilege misuse.
• Strengthen response: Triage vulnerabilities and incidents with evidence and recovery actions.
• Advise on residual risk: Provide concise technical recommendations while keeping risk decisions with owners.
• Build shared capability: Create reference implementations and coach engineers to reuse controls.
