Job summary

EY is recruiting for a senior AI security engineer in a Challenger program. You will embed security throughout the AI lifecycle, prove controls under adversarial conditions, and replace one-off reviews with reusable patterns and measurable coverage.

You will work with product and engineering teams, shaping defenses that fit diverse use cases while traveling up to 50% for hybrid collaboration across US offices.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in application, cloud, platform, identity, data, and software delivery security.
• Understanding of AI prompts, tools, and runtime behavior for secure deployments.
• Experience turning threats into preventive, detective, and responsive controls.
• Hands-on ownership of production security across modern apps and cloud environments.
• Ability to model attacks and translate findings into engineering guidance.

Responsibilities

• Set the security direction with reusable AI security patterns and threat models.
• Work with teams early to identify attack paths and shape controls.
• Create practical patterns for identity, access, isolation, and recovery.
• Embed security across the data lifecycle while preserving confidentiality and integrity.
• Integrate automated tests, policy gates, and trusted artifacts into pipelines.
• Run red-team exercises and translate findings into repeatable tests.
• Develop runtime protections using evidence and behavioral signals.
• Support vulnerability triage with clear containment and recovery actions.
• Provide concise risk recommendations to product and risk leaders.
• Build reusable security capabilities and coach engineers.
