Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to architect AI-powered security systems for real-world deployment. You will influence sensor-to-cloud decisions, mentor senior engineers, and push breakthroughs into the Falcon platform while shaping production-grade security AI.

You’ll work across research and engineering to scale AI defenses, manage latency and cost, and collaborate with labs, universities, and the security community to advance frontier AI in cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in CS/CE/EE or related field; PhD preferred.
• 15+ years in software engineering, ML, or security engineering.
• 8+ years in a senior technical leadership role (Principal/ Distinguished).
• Proven track record shipping production AI/ML for security (endpoint or cloud).
• Hands-on with large language models and agentic architectures.
• Deep security expertise in detection, threat hunting, or malware analysis.
• Expert in C, C++, Rust, Go, or Python.
• Experience with distributed systems and GPU inference stacks.
• Scientific rigor, hypothesis testing, and clear tradeoffs communication.
• Experience turning research into production in Falcon platform.

Responsibilities

• Architect the Lab’s AI security systems end to end, including models, agents, telemetry, and cloud-scale reasoning.
• Bring frontier AI to the endpoint using distillation and compact models with kernel- and user-mode telemetry.
• Build cloud-scale streaming detection and inference across trillions of events per day.
• Create autonomous defenders that investigate, hunt, write detections, and drive remediation.
• Develop systems learning from investigations, simulations, reinforcement learning, and synthetic data.
• Engineer for adversarial conditions, including evasion, poisoning, and prompt injection.
• Establish benchmarks, cyber ranges, and evaluation harnesses measuring efficacy and latency.
• Lead through technical depth, mentoring engineers and researchers across teams.
• Carry research into production in the Falcon platform, addressing scale, safety, and operability.
• Represent CrowdStrike through publications, open-source work, and collaboration with frontier AI labs.
