Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. seeks a Distinguished Engineer to lead the Lab's frontier AI and security systems. You will architect end-to-end solutions spanning sensor to cloud, ship production AI, and mentor senior engineers while shaping the technical direction.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field; PhD preferred.
• 15+ years of industry experience in software engineering, ML, or security engineering; 12+ years with a PhD.
• 8+ years at a senior technical leadership level (Principal/ Distinguished).
• Track record of architecting and shipping production AI/ML systems for security.
• Hands-on with large language models and agentic architectures, planning, tool use, memory, and inference optimization.
• Deep security expertise in detection, threat hunting, malware analysis, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Architect the Lab’s AI security systems end to end, including models, agents, telemetry, and cloud-scale reasoning.
• Bring frontier AI to the endpoint using distillation and compact models with kernel- and user-mode telemetry.
• Build cloud-scale streaming detection across trillions of events per day with efficient GPU serving.
• Create autonomous defenders that investigate, hunt, write and validate detections and drive remediation.
• Lead research-to-production transfers in the Falcon platform, addressing scale and safety.
• Publish and collaborate with frontier AI labs, universities, and the security community.
• Mentor principal engineers and research scientists, guiding cross-functional teams.
