Pearson is leading the design and deployment of AI that personalizes learning at scale. This role drives production AI capabilities, from research through to reliable services in Pearson products, helping learners and institutions achieve measurable outcomes.

As Lead Specialist, you will mentor teams, set architecture direction, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Learning Science to advance AI platforms, ensuring governance, safety, and cost controls across deployments.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying production AI/ML systems.
• Experience with cloud-native applications and MLOps practices.
• Proficiency in Python and APIs, CI/CD, testing.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.
• Experience with foundation models and modern AI frameworks.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design, development, deployment, and operation of production AI capabilities.
• Design and deliver Generative AI, LLM, RAG, and agentic AI solutions.
• Build reusable AI platform components and workflows.
• Own end-to-end AI delivery lifecycle from prototyping to production.
• Establish scalable MLOps/AIOps practices for deployment and observability.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Learning Science, and Data Science teams.
• Evaluate emerging AI tech balancing quality, safety, latency and cost.
• Establish best practices for responsible AI and governance.
• Mentor engineers and data scientists.
• Communicate strategy and trade-offs to stakeholders.
