Job summary

Intuit Credit Karma is seeking a Senior AI Scientist to lead development of financial recommendation engines and the strategic deployment of AI across multiple verticals from credit cards to home loans. You will partner with engineering, product, marketing, finance, and analytics to deliver measurable business impact.

The role emphasizes building scalable ML models, optimizing monetization through accurate recommendations, and communicating complex concepts to business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• MS in a quantitative field such as CS, math, stats or physics.
• 5+ years of experience building and deploying ML models in production (consumer tech, fintech or e-commerce preferred).
• Expert proficiency in Python and SQL, with deep experience in modern ML/DL frameworks.
• Experience with ranking, retrieval, and multi-stage recommendation architectures.
• Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders and link model performance to business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of large-scale models that predict not just what a member needs, but when they need it across multiple financial verticals.
• Build recommendation logic that balances immediate revenue with long-term member trust and lifetime value.
• Collaborate with partner teams to define metrics that quantify revenue, engagement, user experience, etc.
• Represent Data Science in cross-functional meetings and translate technical subject matter to business partners.
• Solve challenges ranging from Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning to recommendation and GenAI for Personal Finance Products.
• Be part of a highly impactful team working on large-scale projects that directly impact the business and members.
• Act as an owner—identify problems, propose solutions, and drive them to production.
