Job summary

Intuit Credit Karma is seeking a Senior Staff AI Scientist to advance our recommendation engines from static eligibility to dynamic, intent-aware personalization for 100M+ members. As Tech Lead, you will shape the technical vision for user understanding and ranking stacks, mentor scientists, and partner with leadership to define the future of our members’ financial journey.

Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a related quantitative discipline.
• 7+ years of industrial experience in Machine Learning, with 3 years in a technical lead capacity specifically focused on Ranking, Search, or Recommendation Systems.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying high-scale, multi-stage ranking pipelines in a production environment.
• Exceptional ability to communicate technical complexity to executive leadership and influence stakeholders across product, business and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of ML models that understand user intent and engagement across the product ecosystem.
• Serve as the primary technical authority for AI Science and define multi-year roadmaps with product and engineering partners.
• Mentor junior scientists and set standards for experimental rigor and production readiness.
• Translate business goals into rigorous modeling objectives and deliver measurable impact.
• Represent AI Science in executive reviews and external forums to attract talent and partnerships.
• Drive research in deep learning, recommender systems, and multi-objective optimization for financial personalization.
