Job summary

fal is a fast-moving, flat startup building a generative media platform. The recruiter will own end-to-end searches across engineering, research, GTM, finance, legal, and operations.

You will advise hiring managers with market data, craft effective outreach, and close offers with a strong understanding of candidate motivations. The role emphasizes high autonomy and collaboration across teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting, with meaningful time in-house at a high-growth startup.
• Experience across both technical roles (engineering, infrastructure, ML) and non-technical roles (GTM, finance, legal, ops).
• A strong sourcer who finds hires not actively applying.
• A trusted advisor to senior leaders, able to challenge hiring managers with data.
• Strong closer, owning offers and comp conversations.
• High agency, able to run searches autonomously.
• Genuinely excited about AI and generative media.

Responsibilities

• Own searches end to end: intake, strategy, sourcing, screening, interview process, offer and close across engineering, research, GTM, finance, legal and operations.
• Advise the business on role design, market data, and hiring decisions.
• Find non-obvious candidates beyond obvious LinkedIn searches.
• Source relentlessly through direct outreach, referrals, communities, events, and AI sourcing tools.
• Close: communicate fal's story, understand candidate needs, and drive offers.
• Raise the bar by calibrating interview loops and screens.
• Build processes and templates in Ashby and use AI to automate repetitive tasks.
