Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Data Architect to design and deliver modern, scalable data platforms enabling analytics, AI, ML, and Generative AI workloads for clients. You will lead architecture decisions, guide delivery, and collaborate across AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, and related technologies.

You will mentor engineers, engage in discovery through implementation, and contribute to the growth of the data architecture practice within Slalom's hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or data architecture.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses.
• Hands-on with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Leadership of architecture efforts from discovery to implementation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve cloud-native data architectures.
• Translate business objectives into scalable data solutions.
• Lead architecture and technical design from discovery through implementation.
• Partner with engineering teams to deliver data platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake.
• Design and operationalize AI-ready data foundations for analytics and ML workloads.
• Mentor engineers and architects to grow capabilities.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams and Centers of Excellence to share best practices.
• Support business development with solution design and technical pre-sales.
