Job summary

Slalom, LLC is seeking a Data Architect to design cloud-native data architectures (lakes, lakehouses, warehouses) and lead architectural efforts end-to-end. You will partner with engineering to deploy platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake, while creating AI-ready data foundations for analytics and ML workloads.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Centers of Excellence, and contribute to business development with technical pre-sales support.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering, architecture or related fields.
• Hands-on with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and modern architectures.
• Strong communication, consulting and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve cloud-native data architectures (lakes, lakehouses, warehouses).
• Lead architecture and design efforts from discovery to implementation.
• Collaborate with engineering to deliver data platforms on AWS/Azure/GCP, Databricks, Snowflake.
• Build AI-ready data foundations for analytics, ML and Generative AI workloads.
• Mentor engineers and architects and drive delivery excellence.
• Support pre-sales activities and client conversations on data strategy.
