Job summary

HistoSonics in Plymouth, MN seeks a Sr. Manager – AI and R&D Infrastructure to lead cloud platforms, AI automation, and imaging capabilities for the CTO organization.

The role ensures reliability, security, compliance, and continuous evolution of critical infrastructure and tools supporting software development, research, and product innovation. You will partner with business and technical leaders to execute strategy, develop talent, drive operational excellence, and foster engineering

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or related disciplines.
• 4 years in a people leadership role managing technical teams of 5 or more engineers; demonstrated track record of building and scaling high-performing teams
• Proven experience operating at a senior manager level, including contributing to team strategy, managing organizational structure, and influencing technical direction across a broader organization
• Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure and architecture; working knowledge of AWS is a plus
• Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, HIPAA, SOC 2) and familiarity with CSV and medical device cyber security considerations

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a team of cloud platform engineers and AI developers; build a high-performance culture grounded in engineering excellence and security by design
• Shape the team’s structure, roles, and career paths to align with long-term technical strategy
• Develop and execute multi-quarter roadmap for cloud platform, AI automation, and infrastructure investments
• Maintain governance: policy-driven controls, IaC modules, cost tracking, naming, tagging, and observability
• Collaborate with Security, IS, Quality, and Regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance and governance across the CTO organization
