Job summary

HistoSonics, a medtech leader in non‑invasive liver therapies, seeks a Sr. Manager – AI and R&D Infrastructure in Plymouth, MN to lead cloud platforms, AI automation, and imaging capabilities.

This role ensures infrastructure reliability, security, and regulatory compliance while partnering with CTO leaders to drive strategic investments and talent development. You will guide IaC governance, support product and research initiatives, and advance agentic AI capabilities within a highly regulated

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or related disciplines.
• 4 years in a people leadership role managing technical teams of 5 or more engineers.
• Senior manager level experience guiding strategy, structure, and cross‑functional alignment.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure and architecture; AWS knowledge a plus.
• Experience with agentic AI concepts, LLM patterns, and AI governance considerations.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems imaging, endpoint management, and security practices.
• Experience in regulated environments (FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, HIPAA, SOC 2); CSV familiarity.
• Strong cross‑functional influence and leadership across CTO organization.
• Autonomy with bias toward action and judgment-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud platform, AI automation, and imaging capabilities for CTO org.
• Shape team structure, talent development, and career paths.
• Translate CTO objectives into a roadmap of investments and capabilities.
• Ensure governance, security, and regulatory compliance across infra.
• Collaborate with Product, IS, Security, and Quality stakeholders.
• Maintain IaC standards and observability for cost and risk management.
• Drive automation opportunities and AI initiatives aligned with strategy.
• Oversee incident response and RCA for critical infrastructure.
