Job summary

JPMorganChase in Columbus is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer for the Consumer & Community Banking AI Production Architecture team. You will lead an agile team to build secure, scalable AI-powered products and production systems used daily by thousands of engineers.

Your role will involve guiding architecture, coding, code reviews, and the adoption of AI-assisted practices, while ensuring reliability and cost efficiency in enterprise-scale pipelines and platforms.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages.
• Experience leading use of enterprise AI-assisted development tools and setting team expectations for AI outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and resiliency requirements.
• Ability to tackle design problems independently with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript; building CLI tooling, API integrations, and data pipelines.
• Experience building systems on top of LLM APIs including context management.

Responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance to support business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and establishes measurable validation standards.
• Applies SDLC tooling knowledge to improve value realized by automation at scale.
• Drives decisions influencing product design, functionality, and operations.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in areas of focus and mentors engineers.
• Advocates for firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices in the SDLC.
• Develops and ships production-grade multi-agent AI systems used by thousands of engineers.
