Job summary

Prophecy is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own end-to-end product areas in our AI-native data platform. You will balance customer workflows, governance, and enterprise requirements while partnering with engineering and design to ship impactful capabilities.

This hybrid role requires 5+ years of product management in data platforms or analytics, strong API/SDK experience, and the ability to translate complex problems into clear specifications. Expect 2–3 days in the San Francisco office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in data platforms, analytics workflows, or enterprise software.
• Deep understanding of data preparation and analytics workflows.
• Experience delivering technical products with engineering teams.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI-powered products or intelligent systems.
• Ability to translate complex problems into clear, actionable product specifications.
• Experience working with APIs, SDKs, CLIs, or other developer-facing systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the roadmap for a product area over a 1-3 quarter horizon.
• Translate product vision into clear initiatives and priorities.
• Evaluate opportunities based on impact, effort, and strategic fit.
• Think beyond features to systems and how capabilities fit into the data/analytics ecosystem.
• Develop deep understanding of analyst workflows across data preparation, transformation, and analysis.
• Run continuous discovery through customer interviews, product usage data, and signals.
• Use AI tools to prototype and validate ideas before full specs.
• Work closely with engineering and design to deliver high-quality capabilities.
• Define success metrics and track adoption, impact, and effectiveness.
